the series "This is a blog service." A few remarks to download maps and map sections of the Regional Technical Map (CTR). Recently the Geoportal of Lombardy allows, finally, to download parts of the CTR. The service is very useful and practical even for someone like me, you already have the CD, came out years ago, with all the regional mapping. The Geoportal sono però presenti molte funzionalità davvero preziose e comode. Quella che segue è una breve descrizione di un paio di esse, che possono aiutare chi sta andando sul campo per l’Atlante Ornitologico Italiano, lanciato da Ornitho, ad esempio.

Quando siamo sulla pagina di apertura, selezioniamo “Visualizza mappe” sul menù a sinistra. Ci spostiamo così su una nuova pagina; schiacciamo col cursore su “Carta tecnica regionale”. Si apre in questo modo una nuova finestra con la mappa della nostra regione, a scala piccola.

In alto sulla sinistra ci sono i vari menù. Ci si porta col cursore su “strumenti”, è la terza opzione da sin. Si apre così una tendina, con diverse opzioni. Tra le più utili:
- download raster
- stampa.

Premiamo su questo comando. In basso a destra si apre una finestra. Abbiamo la possibilità di scaricare le tavole che interessano. Se si conosce la tavola, bene. Altrimenti, si indica un comune e appariranno dei “raster”. Vanno selezionati, seguendo l’istinto, o sulla base di informazioni notes, or randomly. In fact, this is a matter to be investigated.
